Software AG today announced that Gartner, Inc., a leading industry analyst firm, named Cumulocity IoT a “visionary” in its “Magic Quadrant for Industrial IoT Platforms, Q2 2019” report.
Software AG’s Cumulocity IoT was placed furthest for “completeness of vision” and high in the quadrant for its “ability to execute”.
With this placement, Software AG is in pole position to lead the IIoT market. The leading position reflects the market penetration of Cumulocity IoT in the manufacturing and Telco sectors, among others, and its large, expansive and rapidly growing customer base. This includes innovators like Bosch, Siemens, Octo, Nordex, Telefonica in Spain, Deutsche Telekom, Telstra in Australia, Ooredoo in Qatar and Swisscom - as well as ADAMOS, Software AG’s joint venture with a who’s who of European manufacturers. The report also acknowledges the bundling of TrendMiner as a self-service time-series Analytics tool and its integration and API management layer.
Dr. Stefan Sigg, Chief Product Officer, Software AG: “The Industrial Internet of Things is our primary focus. By earning the leading visionary position in the Magic Quadrant for industrial IoT platforms, we prove that our breadth of technologies for successful IoT transformation is going to lead the IoT market. For our customers, the approach of starting small and fast but thinking big and long-term makes it possible to innovate rapidly, while minimizing risk and decreasing time to value.“
The recognition of Cumulocity IoT by Gartner as the vendor furthest for “completeness of vision” underlines Software AG’s commitment to enabling its customers to quickly and easily bring their IIoT visions to life.
